16Camel Saddle This camel saddle was given by Saudi Arabia to Henry Kissinger when he was Secretary of State.
Since the saddle, equipment and statuette exceeded the value Kissinger was allowed to keep, these items were turned into the State Dept. Someone remembered there had been camels in Texas, so they were given to Fort Sam Houston.
The saddle is actually a hybrid and can be used on either a camel or a horse. Although modern, camel technology has not changed much, so it is probably similar to what the Army's camels would have known.
